In the Claus units of its refineries, Global Oil produces sulfur for industrial and agricultural use. The sulfur is obtained in liquid state after a refining and purification process that guarantees high purity and quality. For its storage and transportation, it is solidified in two formats, as cakes (thin sheets 4 or 5 cm thick) or prill (small beads of sulfur).
The agricultural sulfur produced by Global Oil can be used in fertilizer manufacturing processes or in agriculture as a phytosanitary product. The high purity of our sulfur and the absence of contaminants mean it can be used directly as a raw material for soil conditioners, PH correctors, and nutrient unblockers.
This sulfur can be used as a raw material, an intermediate product, or an additive used to catalyze certain reactions. It can be used in the manufacture of sulfuric acid and synthetic fibers (caprolactams), or as a vulcanizer in the rubber industry.
